An independent community platform
Chalo is operated by AI Ready Marketing, ABN 63 536 179 160, proudly supported by Sanatan Australia. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Government of India, the High Commission of India, any consulate, or any Australian government body.
Listing a temple, organisation or event is not an endorsement of it, and does not mean that organisation is connected with Chalo or has asked to be listed. Most listings are found on public sources. Any organiser can claim their listing or ask us to remove it.
How Chalo finds events
Events reach Chalo two ways. Organisers submit them directly, or we find them on public sources: temple calendars, community association pages, council listings and ticketing platforms.
Anything we find says so, and links back to where we found it, so you can always read the original. We copy the facts of an event, never somebody else’s write-up of it.
We check what we can before publishing: an event needs a real location and a real description before it goes live, and a listing with nothing but a title and a date stays in the queue.
Family-safe, by policy
Chalo is somewhere you can hand the phone to a grandparent or a ten year old. Events involving alcohol, nightlife, gambling, dating or adult content are not listed, and every incoming listing is screened for them.
The filters look at what an event is, never at who it is for. Everyone is welcome at everything on Chalo.
City first
Every city has its own community and its own calendar, so Chalo is organised around yours rather than around a national list.
About the information on this site
Event information is sourced from publicly available data and may not always be accurate or up to date. Dates, times, prices and venues change, and sometimes an event is cancelled without the original listing being updated. We recommend confirming details directly with event organisers before attending. See our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
